Biography

Launched in 2000, Deborah Hughes has over 25 years’ experience in consumer marketing, public relations and special events. Deborah began her career in public relations at Carolina Herrera at the inception of the design house. As the company grew, Deborah quickly ascended the ranks to Public Relations and Advertising Director responsible for all editorial coverage of the collection, advertising and marketing strategies.

In 1990, after establishing the company as one of the leading fashion houses in the United States and abroad, Mrs. Herrera appointed Deborah to Vice President of Communications. Her responsibilities included all marketing, advertising, public relations, retail relationships and fragrance launches.

Today, Deborah is President and CEO of Deborah Hughes, Inc. (DHI), a public relations, media consulting and event management agency with clients in the fashion, beauty, lifestyle, media, food and non-profit industries.

Ross Houston Fenton joined DHI in 2011 and brings nearly ten years’ experience in corporate communications, public and media relations to the company. At DHI, Ross holds responsibility for designing results-oriented communications strategies for clients across all industries.

Ross most recently managed all aspects of communications for the 2nd Annual GOOD FOOD FEST, and previously counseled Slow Food USA on the development of their communications infrastructure. His broad experience includes working in-house at globally recognized consumer technology brands such as Dolby Laboratories, as well as leading start-up clients at boutique public relations agency Blanc & Otus.
